After a lifetime of serving as a public education teacher and librarian in Virginia and raising my wonderful children, I have retired and am pursuing a dream to make my photography a bigger part of my life. Since I was a teenager, my passion to capture the world around me has existed. My love for literature and writing led me to a bachelor's degree in English and library media, and a master's degree in special education. These degrees served me well during my teaching career that ended in June, 2017. Now, I begin another career. A career inspired by the life around me....and it is an amazing one.

I attended Marshall University (Go Herd!) as a journalism major, then received my degree in education from Concord College in 1987. After teaching for several years, I returned to college to attain my master's degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk.

When I am not traveling to experience the sights the USA offers me, I live in Waynesboro, VA with my husband. Our children and grandchildren fill the spaces in my heart and the time in my life.
